While on the Topic of Cambridge Vario, I have a pair of older units
with an AU20 box for the beep tones, but it does not work, when I
opened it up I found a fried blue capacitor (I think) on the board.

Are there replacement units around or another type of unit that would
serve the same function?

Or if I knew the value of the component I could try replacing it.

Any suggestions?
