I'm pretty sure I read somewhere that the friend of Stanger's who died
at Big Bear was supposed to be flying WITH Stanger and Lidle in NYC but
had to beg off going with for some reason.

1) Just because you read it, doesn't make it true.

2) The media has clearly been watching too many "Final Destination" sequels.
