Default SeventySeven

One thing the A-10 doesn't have is "boatloads of excess power".

Standing joke was:
"What was the first T.C.T.O. to the A-10?... They took out the clock and put
in a Calendar.

Or at Red Flags in the '70's:
Why do the A-10s take off before the OV-10s?...So the OV-10s won't have to
wait too long for the warthogs TOT.

Why do the F-4s taxi behind the A-10s with their canopies open?... Because
the A-10 exhaust is cooler than the air temperature at Nellis.

Which is more manoeuvrable; A-10 or 'stang?

A-10... high lift devices, boatloads of excess power... it is a very
agile platform.
