I just happen to have Google Earth fired up and was looking at
my hometown of Omaha, Nebraska. I scrolled up a bit north of my
parent's place, and happened to notice an airstrip slightly south of
Standing Bear Lake. It currently has X's on the runway. When I lived
there, I really didn't care about what was around there, because I
wasn't into aviation at the time. But now that I am, I am wondering
what this field is, or was.

I would say that it is an RC field since the measurement comes out to
a runway length of approximately 350' which is not quite long enough
for anything but RC planes.

Search the net for RC clubs in that area and I'm sure you'll find your
answer.
