yeah sure, they gonna read aloud there success. Well, i guess this is
a test of there missile defence program the star wars. May be they
might have even tested a new missile.

Sorry, sweetheart, but no, dead wrong. The launch system can only
handle Harpoon and Standard (maybe ASROC if anybody is still carrying
it these days) - modifications to the ship would have been impossible
to conceal and given the way certain people zero in on each and every
minor mod to to anything military, would sure to have been remarked
upon.
So build a "new" missile to fit the system? Why reinvent the wheel?
The Standard already has a limited anti-ballistic missile capability
and all you needed to do was to a bit of reprogramming of the guidance
software (through an already build in port) and put a modified motor
to get it up to the proper altitude. Hardly a new bird.
