Hello,
You may know that an EB28 was stolen in December from the London
Gliding Club, UK, and the front half of the fuselage cut away and
stolen. Seewww.genesys.net/eb28stolen.
Two glider pilots sighted it yesterday travelling through France en-
route through Normandy from the port of Caen heading South towards
Spain.
How can they be sure? Isn't one ASH-25 front fuselage section very
much like any other ASH-25 front fuselage section? And although there
can't be a huge number of half fuselages knocking around, they aren't
unknown ... someone was selling one (not ASH-25) on eBay quite
recently, as the remains of a simulator project.
I certainly hope that this is good news, and that the thieves get
caught, but I wouldn't want you to get too hopeful ... nor for people
to stop looking elsewhere.
