Good point. I've got three or four sailplane forward fuselages stacked
up against the side of my house here in California. They're all for
single-seaters, but from a distance they'd probably pass for what's
being watched for in Europe.


One of the witnesses saw the lettering "EB28" on the half fuselage.
There simply aren't that many EB28 half fuselages being towed around
Europe at this time of year.


It may not be conclusive, but it sounds damned suspicious. I wonder
why they haven't ripped the instruments (and engine - did they get
away with that?) out of it. I'd have thought that fitting the bits
into another glider would be much easier than grafting the fuselage,
and there would be a lot less storage space needed as well.

Any accident reports of an ASH-25 (or EB28) crashing in France or
Spain with major cockpit damage?
