Excellent series but you obviously mis-spoke the winner.
Whilst I wouldn't suggest that the Gannet is aesthetically
pleasing, it looks to me like an honest design in which form
follows function, giving the aircraft an unpretentious elegance of
its own.
Though perhaps elegance isn't quite the word I'm looking for.
No, the award should go to something which didn't even feature in
your countdown - something which thinks it looks cool (or maybe
hot) but which actually resembles a slug with all the wrong bits
stuck on in all the wrong places.
I give you - the Piaggio Avanti.
