In terms of stuff that's actually flown, the candidates pretty much
are Soviet subscale Buran model that flew some reeentry tests into the
Pacific, and the Buran prototype itself, for the reeentry of its one
flight.

Objection. It was not a prototype it was a real thing.

I'd almost grant you that one, except that Buran never got past teh
"Instrumentation Only" (No Cargo) phase of its flight test program.
A pity, really. There was some very real potential there.
