"A Guy Named Joe", starring: Spencer Tracy, Irene Dunne.
At least one very nice scene of a P-38 doing a little display
upon arriving at an air field.
The story was seriously rewritten and turned into "ALWAYS" with
Richard Dreyfuss getting Spencer Tracy's role and the flying
moved from WWII combat to modern fire bombing.
