Default Fueling from plastic - proposed solution

Taking a suggestion from Bob Olds and making a slight variation:

How about taking a 2-3 ft. length of bathtub chain.

Drill a hole about the size of a ball of the chain somewhere along the
upper side of the plastic spout; maybe 1/3 the way up from the screw
end. Poke three balls of the end of the chain from the inside outward.
Secure the balls so that they don't fall back. Epoxy? Safety wire?

Allow the long length of chain to fall in the containor, laying well
into the gasoline..

Use alligator clips to clip the three chain balls to the filler hole.

What think? - Mike
