![]() Making the rounds, she is. This critter belongs to, and has been parked out front of The Museum of Flight here in Seattle for the last couple years, but headed east for The Last Time flight of Goonies this summer. Good to see her stretch her wings. http://www.museumofflight.org/aircraft/douglas-dc-2 Bob ^,,^ |

On the website your link points to, it says "The Museum's DC-2 was a
former Pan American Airways aircraft that was flown by the Douglas Historical Foundation until McDonnell Douglas' merger with The Boeing Company in 1997." Is this the same airplane that flew out of LGB (where Douglas Aircraft Co. was located)? On 10/19/2010 12:43 AM, Bob (not my real pseudonym) wrote: Making the rounds, she is. Goleta Air & Space Museum has a page of photos of her from years back: http://www.air-and-space.com/Douglas%20DC-2.htm On 10/19/2010 12:43 AM, Bob (not my real pseudonym) wrote: Making the rounds, she is. Shot at LGB airshow, sadly, I didn't record the date. -- Dale G Elhardt Cypress Ca I welcome change. But I prefer bills. http://www.jetphotos.net/showphotos.php?userid=7702 |
