rr-27231 was a P-38L convverted to a F-5G, It left AAF service as a
F-5G and was restored in Civil hands as a P-38L. Therefor I was correct. It was a F-5G and always therefor will be a F-5G no matter what a restoration converts it to. Yes, many restorations fly with false ID's.
