Therefore that imprevement MAY (or might) result in more fuel use. His use of the conditional indicates that he didn't even know how to do arithmetic. That a supposedly intelligent person would publish such a statement is a sad commentary on the level of education in our society. Your other comments, about how the _price_ of fuel is plainly the more important factor regarding fuel usage, are well-taken. -- FF |
