His instructor would have no problem with his logging the night landing since he wasn't under the hood when he landed. Logging night landings is not inconsistent with either approach as far as I can tell. But isn't instrument flight independent of day or night? Is not the logging of instrument flight, night flight and day flight primarily for currency? |
