Pilot/Wildland Firefighter Ron Are there any C-130 types dropping these days or are they grounded for structural reasons? Al Minyard I think there has been some limited use of the C-130A overseas this summer. Possibly some ANG MAFFS equipped C-130 (not sure which model) saw action this summer but not sure where and when. Some retired C-130Es are desperately needed for the upcoming seasons, if the DoD would release any out of AMARC. Or even some P-3As could be put to use. Aero Union flies them currently.
