In total crime, the United States ranks below the UK, Denmark, Finland, and
New Zealand, among others. Not bad under the circumstances.

And the US is 30th (higher the better) in per capita taxes. Liechtenstein

To end on a positive note, the United States heads the list of average years
of schooling for adults. Move here from whatever third rate country you
currently reside in and you too might have the opportunity to develop some
