Sleeping Pad(s)
This item has been completely eliminated by the advent of the greatest camp gear invention in my lifetime: The Self-Inflating, Queen-sized air bed. Originally these things were pricey, but our new one cost less than $30. (Our old one, which cost over $70, was absolutely shredded at Sun N Fun this year by the incredibly tough saw grass. That stuff penetrated our ground cloth, our tent, AND our air mattress!) I used to wake up sore and achy at OSH -- now, I sleep as well in the tent as I do at home. I highly recommend one! -- Jay Honeck Iowa City, IA Pathfinder N56993 www.AlexisParkInn.com "Your Aviation Destination" |

But more importantly, how does it do...ummm...for...ummm...morning or
evening calisthenics? {;-) Well, Jim, I've not, ah, been able to test the, er, capacity of the self-inflating air mattress, as I am compelled to camp at OSH with a pre-teen daughter and a teenage son located mere feet away in the same tent. We all have to make sacrifices to attend OSH... ;-) -- Jay Honeck Iowa City, IA Pathfinder N56993 www.AlexisParkInn.com "Your Aviation Destination" |

Cash.
Credit card. As for the air mattress -- make it one of those 6-8 inch versions that looks like a regular mattress on your bed (unless, of course, you sleep on a water bed. In which case you may be right at home in OSH....) |

Cash.
Credit card. A few other items we bring: - Hand held com radio (Great on the flight line) - Solar powered cell phone charger - Hand-cranked AM/FM radio with flashlight (no batteries!) - Fold up picnic table (Atlas' useful load sure comes in handy...) - Small camp stove (for coffee in the morning, cup-o-soup, etc.) - Folding chairs - Extra battery for camera - REAL hammer and metal stakes (the ground at OSH is like iron) - Gallons of sun screen - Big-brimmed "airshow" hats - Sandals to wear to shower - Extra white socks -- Jay Honeck Iowa City, IA Pathfinder N56993 www.AlexisParkInn.com "Your Aviation Destination" |
