(the tyres are beautiful. they're by trelleborg of sweden) Stealth ( bundy is in australia ) Pilot I have got to admit, I expected a lot of crap with this question. I'm happy to see that not everyone has taken the experiment out of experimental. Lou hell no. I'm going to cast and machine my own for the turbulent I'm building. Stealth Pilot |

Anyone ever use go kart wheels for their homebuilt? I saw a sub-scale Corsair over in Pell City that had go-kart wheels/tires... this is the same plane that was at Newnan a couple years ago. |

While we're wheelin' & dealin'--what kinda slime do you put in your tubes to
keep 'em from leaking the air out.?? Bob Martin wrote: Lou Parker wrote: Anyone ever use go kart wheels for their homebuilt? I saw a sub-scale Corsair over in Pell City that had go-kart wheels/tires... this is the same plane that was at Newnan a couple years ago. |

It doesn't matter what **** you put in a tube because it has no reinforcing cords to maintain its shape. Any air pressure will cause even a small pinhole puncture to enlarge, rendering any "slime" useless. The only effective option is to remove the tube and put a patch on it. Adding "slime" to a tube will only introduce a contaminant, reducing the likelihood of a permanent patch. ================================================== == Del Rawlins-- Unofficial Bearhawk FAQ website: http://www.rawlinsbrothers.org/bhfaq/ Remove _kills_spammers_ to reply |
