In a previous article, said:
The B-1's unofficial name? "Bone". Probably took a Second Lieutenant all of
five minutes to think of that one. And its official nickname is "Lancer."

Its other unofficial name is "Gold Plated Hangar Queen".

I use shell scripts at ork. Some cow-orkers refuse to touch them, their
excuse is usually "I don't understand perl". Their fear of perl is such
that all things unknown are also perl. -- Andrew Dalgleish

The name conjures images of some guy in a frilly chartreuse shirt and purple
capri pants yelling "Yooo-hooo, Lancer, let's go for a cappucino at Starbucks
on
the way to the Barbara Streisand film festival!"

That sounds like that movie where the guy with the baseball bat yells,
"Warriors, come out an playyyy!"

FINALLY got some time to put a quick and dirty Oshkosh 2006 webpage

I haven't had time to add some videos to this page, yet, and I've got
some pix that others have sent me that I'd like to add -- but otherwise
it's largely complete -- enjoy!

Mary and I had a fantastic time, as always -- and we're already
counting the days down to OSH '07!

I missed the Beach Boys!, Damn. A long as I stay in the airborne fire
fighting business there is not going to be any OSH for me....

We've got a medium-sized one that we use for expos and airshows. It
would work fine, just to give the party a "center" -- but, of course, I
can't fit it in the plane.

Can't fit it? time to upgrade Atlas.... :-)

That's what UPS is for, they ferried all of our camping gear to OSH and
back.

Somehow, that seems like cheating.

Yeah, The funniest part about it was the looks and comments we got when
people walked by our plane and saw the nice big tent, cots with blowup
matresses, etc.. "How'd you get all that stuff in that little plane???"

The Dakotas are a little dry this summer. Then there's the (BWCA) Boundary
Waters Canoe Area fires in northern Minnesota. Jim Burns could back-burn
some prairie restoration acres near Stevens Point, Wisconsin. And to bring
you the rest of the way in to OSH - the 1,000-ft 'Wall of Fire'.

There. A hop skip and a jump, and you're at Oshkosh.

A water drop on the final Saturday would have been welcome.

So, for fun, you tell 'em, 'Sort of like Black September, but more
July-ish.'

now's your chance to run PM!

I'll wait here for the Tram, thank you very much.
