anyone know if any celebs are in here posting or just lurking? Travolta? Jolie? anyone else? Well....neither of my media escapades made me a celeb, but I did do the flying scenes in one of Hollywood's poorer excuses for a movie entitled "Last Plane Out" and also had a major speaking role in one of Walter Cronkite's 20th Century documentaries entitled "Russian Ships Off Our Coast". "Last Plane Out" was about an American reporter leaving Managua, Nicaragua (and his Nicaraguan girlfriend) just before the fall to the Sandinistas. It was directed by David Nelson, and starred Jan-Michael Vincent and Mary Crosby. We had one B-707 that through the magic of vinal stick-ons played the part of two or three different airplanes. Sometime in the early '80s as I recall. Back in the early '60s, Kronkite came to Brunswick, Maine to do a doumentary about the large Russian trawler fleet fishng just off the New England coast (Georges Bank) and the spy ships that were hiding among them doing ELINT. As the Air Intelligence Officer, I was shown briefing a VP-21 SP-2H crew prior to their takeoff. Never could pronounce the names of those Russian Ships. :-( Hmmmm....I wonder if HECTOP is still out there somewhere? Bob Moore |

A paradiddle is one of the rudiments of drumming, like rolls, flam accents, etc. Actually, I think the drum sound after a joke is a flam, I thought that was a Mexican dessert! not a paradiddle. RRLRLLRL I think that would be a diddlepara, more correctly known as a reverse single paradiddle - yes, I googled it. For a long time I've thought of it as starting with the left hand, probably because in marching band we always started the first beat on the left foot. I studied music many years ago, and took some class percussion lessons, but didn't remember all the variations on paradiddles. - Rick |

402 he landed in a construction area years ago after a loss of power. |
