This from Gliderpilot.net
Except from DHs post "Unfortunately confirmed today by BGA that all Discii with Czech built wings are grounded in UK with immediate effect pending inspection (method to be determined). This follows grounding order by Czech Republic CAA on 4th September. LBA expected to follow suit very shortly. Nothing yet on S-H site. Covers Discus CS, certain Discus b's and bT's and may affect any Discus that have had replacement wings. The relevant extract from the airworthiness directive is as follows: The following aircraft are directly effected: Discus CS: Serial numbers 1CS through 308CS. Discus b: Serial numbers 551 through 554, 568, 569, 571 through 573, 575 and 577. Discus bT: Serial numbers 77, 106, 146, 151 through 154, 156, 158, 161 and 162. Other Schempp-Hirth aircraft that may be effected: Discus, Discus a, Discus b and Discus bT that have had replacement wings fitted." Paul |
