Default Helicopter crashes in Hawaii

A Hell-USA Helicopter crashed at Princetown Thursday, killing the pilot
and three passengers. Then yesterday a Smoky Mountain Tours helicopter
crashed on Kauai. One person died of a heart attack, so the news media
are saying that it was a fatal crash.

There have been something like 8 helicopter crashes in four years in
Hawaii, resulting in new regulations, many of them extremely silly and
having nothing to do with the crashes, for tour operators all over the
US. There have been calls for many more. I am not sure what sort of new
regulation will keep passengers dying of heart attacks; it seems to me
that if someone is so fragile that a crash will cause a heart attack
that it could have happened just about anywhere or anytime.

These crashes are terrible tragedies, but I don't know how new
regulations would prevent them.

I don't disagree with most of your comments, but, I must say,
experiencing an aircraft crash, in my mind, would be trauma many orders
of magnitude beyond what normally goes on "anywhere or anytime" in one's
life.

An example of silly new regs?

These crashes are terrible tragedies, but I don't know how new
regulations would prevent them.

Is it possible that this could be answered when the cause of the crashes
is known?
