Default Cobra Trailer leak, front end gasket, fix?

My fiberglass topped Cobra trailer has a significant leak when being
towed in the rain that results in good deal of water in the big
plastic bin up front. It appears that when closed there is a
noticable gap between the rubber gasket on the fixed part of the
trailer, and the movable fiberglass top. The gasket does not appear
to be worn and there appears to be no adjustment to the position of
the top. I'm guessing that this isn't the only one like this and
someone out there has already solved this problem. Recomendations?

Look at the hinges and see if it looks like the top was ever bent back
enough to change the shape of the hinges.
In any case, the hinge end is where you will have to correct. Latch
end should clamp seal. If not, either reshape latch
or add shim to face where it catches.
Good Luck
