Panel Mount Digital Volt Meter by Dan Marotta
Looking for a very small, simple, panel mount DVM. I've looked all over eBay and Amazon and haven't found anything that suits my needs. I can find plenty of LED versions, but they likely won't be satisfactory in bright sunlight, and all the LCD meters I can find are huge. Something on the...

While you were working... Jim Payne and Morgan Sandercock were cruising at FL215 much of the day. Look on glideport.aero, World map, Argentina, Chos Malal. Appears to be nearly 2000k, but they landed at Malargue. Jim

The trailer “tinkering” season has just opened and I am seeking inputs from the RAS team regarding a solar vent installation. I found that the top of the line “Nicro” solar vent delivers about 1000 Cubic feet per hour and runs on a small D looking rechargeable battery for night operation. Given...

Butterfly vario user? by Pam Howarth
Any Butterfly vario users out there care to share their experiences? I'm particularly interested in whether the wind information is reliable and whether the A/H is stable and usable? (Not too bothered about the Navigation or Flarm functions as better solutions exist) Dave Walsh

Cobra Trailer Question by [email protected]
When ordering a new Cobra Trailer from an authorized dealer: are the insides specific to a particular glider or merely specific to the size of glider - i.e 15 meter, 18 meter, Single Seat, 2-place. Or are the rails and wing storage brackets specific to a particular Make and Model?

Glider Design Life by [email protected]
I'm at the informational gathering stage of a future glider purchase. I have been to a few websites for new gliders and I see "design life" data. Do all gliders have a design life and after that life limit is exceeded, then what?

Keep your hand off the release handle during aero tows! by [email protected]
I have seen several videos on youtube lately where the glider pilot holds the tow release handle during all parts tow. I've been told it is taught this way by some in the UK. Sorry to pick on you folks on the other side of the pond as I love your country and can't wait to come over and glide with...

Solar charging question by Ed
I have a G103 SL with a 28Ah SLA main battery and a Rotax 505A engine. Over the years I've had some intermittent problems with ground starting the engine, and the pattern has only recently been more obvious to me. The engine has a reputation for being a bit finicky to start, however, air starts are...
