Desert MOA's by
Uncle Fuzzy
Please be careful out there. I just got an earful from a fighter
pilot who said he had an 'encounter' with a glider over the Pahranagat
valley tuesday afternoon. That's a VERY busy corridor Monday through
Friday.

WANTED: Looking for a oldie but a goodie, project glider by
Scott Alexander
I'm looking for a good winter project. Such as an ASW-15, LS-1, Phoebus,
Libelle, Cirrus, HP-18 etc.
I would really enjoy spending the winter either refinishing it,
rebuilding, and getting it contest ready for the sports class next year.
If anyone knows or has something that fits this, maybe...

Developing A "Hot Spot" Map by
noel.wade
Hello All,
Some local club members are really getting into logging their flights
and posting them on the OLC. One posed a good question about trying
to use the flight tracks to develop a better sense of the best soaring
spots in the area by viewing multiple flight tracks at a time. I'm...

Colibri and Dynon by
Paul Smith
Has anyone set-up a Colibri feeding NMEA to a Dynon? Specifically have you
worked out what combination of NMEA sentences are required to get the Dynon
(D10A) HSI to display in full? I'm getting the GPS positional
information, but not information relating to next waypoint in a task.

Do it yourself?? by
Flash
Folks, I've been lurking and reading your group for a good while. I admire
the talent it takes to fly, with or without power, and those who do this.
Looking at the craft at the fields and in the online directories, one sees
hi-dollar, high performance craft everywhere. Is anyone home-building...

How well polished does a glider need to be? by
Dan G
I'm crewing this season, and no doubt my pilot will be expecting me
out at 7am with Mer in hand.
My question is (and I'm sure it's been debated before, I did search,
but want fresh input) how worthwhile is polishing?
I can understand keeping the fuselage as slippery as possible to
reduce skin...

Thanks to [US] Contest Pilots by
Chip Bearden
I just read some of the bios on US Team pilots on the SSA site and was
struck by a comment Pat Tuckey made: no matter how intense the
competition in the air, if a pilot has a problem on the ground, one of
his/her friends is always there with a helping hand.
I disagree. It's true that when I've had...

AFA Cadet XC Team - MIA at Montegue? by
Rick Culbertson
At the risk of being harshly chastised, can anyone tell me or
factually clarify what happened to the AFA Cadet XC Team attending
R-11 or any of the info. presented below? I was informed (by a AFA
team member) in Parowan during the Region 9 comp. the reason why all
five AFA XC team members blew off...
