Volkslogger for sale by
[email protected]
I am selling my Volkslogger. It is a Volkslogger 1.0, hardware 3.3
with serial number 0TZ. Included are two cables (the bayonnet
connector type, not the phone jack style). One cable ends in a 9-pin
d-shell connector, and the other has no connector and is intended for
in-cockpit use, I guess.
I...

Ryan Spicer

I've seen a lot of interesting discussion on this group

currently training for my private pilot glider ticket, starting from
zero. I have about 12hrs in my logbook over 43 flights, about a third
of which are solo. I did...

Mid Air Collisions by
Sukumar Kirloskar
One of the books of Philip Wills has a chapter that describes how the BGA
was able
to obtain the freedom to fly gliders in controlled airspace in the UK. As
I recall, this
was the result of a statistical analysis on the probabilities of mid air
collisions. Would
anybody know where I may be able...

Transponder antenna - blade vs stub monopole by
5Z
Any aerodynamic thoughts on the two available choices?
My ASH-26E came with the stub mounted just behind the wheel. Every
now and then it catches on the trailer, so I just straighten it, no
big deal.
An ASW-24B in our club is about to get a transponder and the factory
recommends the installation...

Composite Fuselage Construction by
[email protected]
Can anyone comment on which manufacturers use "sandwich" construction
in the fuselage and which ones don't? I'm particularly interested in
the LS ships, but I'm also curious about what others are doing or have
done.
Thanks,
Dave

carbon airframes and Antenna location by
Brad[_2_]
I know this has probably been discussed many times, but here goes
again. I am building my rudder this week for my HP-24. My fuselage and
vertical fin is predominately carbon fiber, so no antenna in the fin.
The laminate for the rudder will be fiberglass, and I plan on putting
the antenna there. I...

Radio installation by
jeplane
Does anyone know an avionic shop or any technician able to replace a
radio in a ASW19 in the Phoenix, AZ area?
I first thought I had a battery problem, the reception is really weak
and pretty much unreadable. Time for a new radio I suppose!
Thanks!

tone is emitted on battery power only (Alt. off). No problem
yesterday, problem today. Noise remains with audio panel on/off, using
L/R trans switch, speaker...
