Sizing the CB needs... Homebuilt wiring too by
Dave S
I am installing a used Narco AT-150A transponder and have only acquired
the pinout.. not an install manual.. (trust me.. if/when it goes, it
will be replaced rather than repaired..)
A brief/quick google search didn't bring up anything that indicated what
size CB to use..
What size CB is...

wing tank fuel guage by
D H
Hello all,
I'm building a mid wing airplane and looking for a clean fuel sight
gauge. I've tried a clear vertical fuel vent line inside the cockpit
for each tank without the desired results. I'm covering the top of the
tanks with Poly Fiber instead of Plexiglas so I can't do the light
access...

Creating a swaged hole in the bottom of a fuel tank. by
Ebby
Dear All,
I am starting to build my center section fuel tank and need information
about how to swage holes in the bottom of the tank so that I can edge weld
the six fittings specified in the plans. Four of the fittings are finger
strainers and one is for the sight gauge. There is one more...

What's in a tailwheel???? by
DonMorrisey
All my flying is in nosewheel airplanes so I know nothing about the
workings of tailwheels and this is not a question about differences
between nosewheel and tailwheel. The airplane I am building is a
tailwheel airplane (Bushcaddy R-120) and I have no trepidation about
mastering a tailwheel plane....

Brass or copper sheet? by
Scott
For one of my different hobbies...does anybody have a good source for
brass or copper sheet? I'm thinking something around 0.025" or 0.032"
and two pieces that are about 30" X 30" or so each. Would I need to
take out a second mortgage to obtain pieces like that?

Zirforit? by
Juan Jimenez
Anyone know who makes "Zirforit" seals? I think it's the name of some kind
of proprietary alloy, probably a company by the initials of E.D.E.C. but
have no other info and Google comes back with one and ONLY one match.

Boost control for turbonormalizing. by
[email protected]
Howdy,
Given that there are now a few pseudo constant speed props available
for engines ~100 bhp, I was interested in looking at how a
turbonormalizer would work in engines of this range.
Has anybody here looked at the Rajay system or another of the
turbonormalizer kits? How do they regulate...

Testing spray pattern on turbine injectors by

I'm in the middle of cleaning the injectors of the engine on my BD-5J, and I
was wondering if someone here has dealt with this issue before...
I need to test spray pattern. The engine has 8 injectors. I know I can set
up a rig where I pump fuel into the injectors, and perhaps use a piece of...

Poll: electrical connector crimpers/dies by
Jim Burns
I'm wondering which "professional" electrical connector crimpers are amoung
the groups favorites and most used.
I've got a couple pair of "no-name service crimpers" but I'd like to buy a
pair of high quality crimpers for 10awg-26awg terminal crimps.
Thanks!

Bootlegging Butts by
[email protected]
Veedub heads need new guides now & then, especially for the exhaust
valves. If you're tooled up for it pulling the old guides is a
piecea cake. Core-drill the buttery soft bronze guide, slide the heads
into the oven, heat slowly to 450 degrees Fahrenheit then pop out the
cored guides with a...
