Effect on aeroplane of sudden depressurisation by Guy Lux
Often in films, when a plane flying at high altitude has its window shot out, it seems to experience major turbulence and/or seem to dive before it is stabilised. I can't understand why a load of air rushing out of the pressurised cabin would do this in *real* situations, does it actually...

Near-miss over Orange County, Calif 6/30 8:08 pm? by HBYardSale
I saw what looked like a near-miss Monday night (June 30, 8:08 pm PT) above the city of Huntington Beach and would like to find out which airlines they were. And I'd like to find out what happened and how far apart they came. The reason I say "near-miss" was because I first saw a plane climbing,...

Any W&B calculators that work in 640x480 on HP4700 PDA? by Hilton
Peter, WingX is not hard-coded to any specific screen size. It runs just fine on 320x240, 240x320, 240x240, 640x480, 480x640, and 480x480. In fact, WingX even has the option to automatically change between portrait and landscape - had that for about a year now if I recall correctly. Route...
