Cost of annual? by
Hankal
What does it cost for your annual?
Some shops around here now give an estimate then add for parts and extra labor.
I think some shops like to make a killing. I want all the airworthy item taken
care of and AD's complied with, but would pay by the hour.
I have a Cessna 172 in good shape.

Landing Light CB by
Hankal
Landing light circuit breaker 20 amp. Pops after about one minute.
I have changed the landing light 4552, changed the CB and thought I had the
problem solved.
This morning Taxi at 6 am (still dark) I was pleased to have the landing light
while in close quarters, then the CB popped.
I have checked...

Story from an older pilot 74 by
Hankal
Took off Saturday morning at 6:30 still very dark. Got my IFR clearance in the
air and soon was in solid IMC. Some clouds were nasty black. Got course
deviation don't like to bounce my plane around. 2 hours into the flight the
clouds were not as nasty. 30 minutes later I landed at SGJ for fuel....

I'm about to begin Flight-school, and I'm always curious about
Aviation-Clips. I have a serious question in regards to this "Take OFF"
seen in this video. Is this low Take Off approach on purpose or Pilot
Error, and would you consider this dangerous or...

747 Lawnmower ?..............Yes, this is real, a flying Lawnmower by
Hansi
If you up there in the Cockpit, look out of the window and see an
Lawnmower, don't be alerted, you are not crazy. They now have flying
Lawnmowers. The same group of Hobby-ingenieurs also developed a flying
doghouse and working on a flying Washmachine and a flying...

Diamond DA40 lap belt extender ... ? by
Harold
Lots of room in the shoulder harness, but need a couple of short
(2"-4") extenders for the lap belts.
The POH / Manual states that the belts are Schroth Type 5-01-1C0701,
Part No. 000918.
The shoulder belts are integrally attached to the lap belt buckle, thus
a longer extension could compromise...

I hope this is the right newsgroup for this question ---
An A&P mechanic at the flight school I am attending is considering buying a
172M (75/76 model). He is looking for a partner that will pick up the tab
for all maintenance - that is buying repair parts - he will do the labor.
While I haven't...

Aircraft in Corporation or LLC? by
Harry Shin
Hi Guys,
I was wondering if anyone has their aircraft in a Corporation or Limited
Liability Company? If so, can you write off maintenance/hangar costs (vs
State corporation fees), and also protect your personal assets more
effectively?
Thanks,
Harry

I am trying to find my father's Beechcraft Bonanza, call sign N4252D.

Hickory NC Airport Flight Pattern by
HBYardSale
I'm looking at a house that is about 1 mile north of the airport -- right in
the flight path of the north-south runway.
I would like to find out how many planes a day fly in/out of the airport and
typically how many of these use the N-S runway.
Any help or a referral would be greatly appreciated.
