Artificial Horizon/Autopilot Connection by
Jay Honeck
So my AI has been going whacky for several months now -- falling over on its
side, then erecting, and so on.
We finally realized that, with night-flying season nearly upon us, we'd
better replace that boat anchor with an instrument we can trust. Although
we don't fly IFR, we DO occasionally fly...

**Shameless Plug Warning**
My fourth aviation article is about to hit the stands. The next "Aviation
Safety" will have a piece I wrote on prop nicks.
You do read "Aviation Safety" don't you? If not, you should.

Composite Aircraft in the long term... by
Jay Honeck
Okay, so Cirrus is cooking along at 60 aircraft per month. They're selling
everything they can build, and people who have bought them are ecstatic.
Fast forward to the year 2018. What's going to be happening to these
composite beauties?
Reason for asking: A long discussion with some pilots who...

Does anyone know of a source for replacement visors for a Seneca V? My

Seneca De-Ice Brush Alignment Tool by
John
For a Piper Seneca, there is a special tool used to align the prop
de-ice brushes. According to API, that tool is no longer available.
Is there an A&P out there with one of these plastic jigs in your tool
box. If so, can I impose upon you to FAX me a tracing outline of the
tool so that I can...

Garmin and Apollo by
S. Byrd
I just heard that Garmin has bought Apollo (UPSAT).
I have used products from both companies gong back to Apollo 612
LORANS and GPS100, and it has always seemed that every generation
brought better stuff, especially in the user interface.
I hope this will make it even better.
What does anybody...

Twisted pair wire by
Chad Lemmen
Does anyone know where I can get shielded, twisted pair, digital data
wire that meets or exceeds MIL-W-27500? This is for data connections
between a KDR-510 datalink receiver and a KMD-550 MFD. Aircraft Spruce
does not have this, but they do have paired shielded wire,
it's just not twisted.

I am designing a modification kit that further enhances both the stall speed

edge of wings. I have some technical questions on the Bush STOL kit. If
someone out there has a Bush STOL kit on a Cessna aircraft...

Garmin audio panel question by

I've got a friend with a Garmin GMA-340 audio panel with the marker beacons.
It's got a high and low sensitivity switch on it for the marker receiver.
When it's on High Sensitivity, everything works OK. When it's on low
sensitivity, he can only pick up the outer marker. We pulled the antenna
off...

If so, can anyone think of a reason why it would NOT be a good idea to add a
