air traffic control sim by
Hyperlink
Hi guys... even though i'm sure this has been discussed earlier, searchin
google groups produces only confusion :))
I'm interested in ATC sims but am not sure which are best. The Net is full
of references to "Tracon" and "Tracon II", but it seems impossible to find
any manual for the game.
I...

Using 2 monitors with FS9 by
Joe C
I have a new monitor coming for my system and before I sell the old
one I would like to hook up both to my PC and run FS9. The video card,
ATI Radon 9800, supports 2 monitors. Any suggestions on how to do this
since I never used two before. I assume I just drag and drop to the
other monitor? What...

Nvidia users FS 2004- No Auto Textures heads up by
Terry Fields
I had this problem when I first started up. I Have a GeForce 4 with 128 Meg
and the latest Nvidia Detonators Drivers. If you look in the News section of
the interface, it tells you you have to have the newest drivers (44.67) to
fix this problem. These drivers are coming out on the 31st but I...

FS2004, fix for hypersensitive rudder? by
K
anyone?
This is annoying me in the extreme, despite having the sensitivity all the
way down the slightest movement on the rudder almost spins you off the
taxiway especially with the Cessnas. Trying to stick to the runway
centreline is almost impossible with the slightest crosswind. FS2002, which
i...

Engine throttle by
Bob Ingraham
I'm a new X-Planer, and I've been having a lot of fun flying various
aircraft from Spitfires to 747's to and from Vancouver International
Airport. I'm now able to land more or less safely most of the time
(depending on the aircraft), but I often have trouble stopping the
aircraft after landing....

All feedback stick users....read this! by
FaxCap
Hi All
I bought a Microsoft Force Feedback 2 stick about 5 months ago.
On the whole I was very disappointed with it especially with FS2004.
I had e:mail contact with the MS FS2004 team which lead nowhere.
Then I heard from a fellow who was writing a program to control force
feedback sticks. Not...

FS2004, have you "looped the 747"? by
John Doe
Reading. Microsoft mentions "looping the 747".
I have looped the LearJet in Flight Unlimited III but doubt I could ever
loop a 747.
Just curious.

FS2004 approaches, ATC etc by
henri Arsenault
I played around some more with FS2004 last night. The ATC is much
improved, and you can now see approach plates in the GPS moving map
display.
However the approach plates are not complete. For example, the
approaches to LAX do not have all of the legs of the approaches shown in
the plates, and...

Mad Scientist Jr

that showed a flight simulator with graphics that looked pretty
advanced for those days. does anyone know what system that was, and if
it has been emulated?

MS FS 2004 ---minimum equipment for IFR by
Gerald Sylvester
I just got my PPL and heard from some ATP rated friends that using
MS FS 2004 could help a bit for getting down some of the navigation
techniques for IFR. I figure for $50 that is about 25 minutes in
a IFR GPS equipped plane.
What is the minimum equipment *really* required to use MS FS...

Weirdest FS9 Airport Ever? by
Randy L.
I don't know if this has been discussed or mentioned before, but I just
stumbled accross the weirdest Microsoft FS2004 airport that I have yet to
find. Try setting up a quick flight from Davis/Muskogee, Ok (KMKO) in FS9
using the default scenery. After takeoff, take a look around the airfield
that...

What is a good desktop Simulaor? by
angelo Campanella
History:
Years ago, I had some nice experiences with FS5, sing a gameport, but I
sought more pilot proficency realism.
So I bought Jeppesen's Flight Pro 6.0, upgraded to 6.2, to get IFR
practice. I got it to work about half the time using a Wingman Joystick
on USB. It required the retail CD...
