FS 2004 Flight Planning by
Dave Schwartz
Would anyone be kind enough to email me an attachment of any very detailed
and complicated Flight Plan that you have created with FS2004. I am trying
to learn how to use the GPS and Autopilot with Flight Plans, and I thought
if I had a flight plan from someone else that works real well, I could...

Cessna C172SP Skyhawk - the lack of trimmers (Ms FS2002) by
[email protected]
I'm wondering - maybe I should turn all these gyro realism off,
as it is rather not important during FS training, not quite
realistically simulated, and not very difficult, I suppose,
to take care of in a real Cessna
Umm. IRL, your instructor will train you to check the directional gyro
with...

Hi
A few months ago I found a homepage for a flight sim with lots of
monitors - I think this guy had something like 15.
Now I can't find it again.
Anyone know where I can find it, or one like it?
Thanks
Tony

Problem on takeoff by
AAS
Hi All,
While taxiing and undertaking a take-off roll FS2004 grinds to an almost
complete halt with frame rates of 1 or less making things completely
impossible to control. Literally as soon as the wheels leave the tarmac all
returns to normal. The same happens as soon as the wheels hit the...

FS 2004 setup by
Dave Hetteen
When I installed FS 2004 I used the full install method, but when I start
the program it still requires that disk 4 be in the CD drive. How can I copy
the contents of this disk to another location and point FS to it so I don't
have to use a CD every time I run FS 2004?
Thanks,
Dave

The AVSIM File Library Mirror by
Tom Allensworth
In the early days of Flight Simulation, Mark Strawcutter managed the Indiana
University of Pennsylvania's FTP service. This service was made available to
the entire world-wide simming community for free. Not since IUP effectively
shut down has there been a site or service available with the large...

Simulators for Acrobatics? by
Glenn Jacobs
I would like to find a simulator that will do acrobatics in a more or less
realistic manner. When i was flying the real ones the most fun that I had
was doing acrobatics. I have bought every version of MS Flight Sim and
have taken them off the machine after a few tries, because they don't,...

FS2004 by
Damien Booth
Hi,
I was just browsing this news group and noticed that FS2004 is now
available. Yes I know I'm probably a little the times.
Anyway, I've been using FS2002 for over a year now and I think it's great,
but no doubt FS2004 is going to be better. The question is how much better
and is it worth going...

Hardware suggestions anyone? by
Peter Hovorka
Hi :)
I'm planning a new PC. Because of the differences in the architectures
of the AMD and Intel CPUs, I'ld like to hear suggestions about whether I
should use a high end Pentium IV or a high end AMD CPU.
(Not talking about the P IV extreme nor the AMD 64 - I never pay double
the price for a bit...

Seaplane bases around the world by
FaxCap
Does anybody know if there are any seaplane/flying boat bases
in the Pacific area in FS2004?
I have seen lists of USA seaplane bases but many have no docks.
Any info about any seaplane bases worldwide would be helpful.
Thanks

Skip Tower View Possible ? by

Looking for a bit of help as I program my HOTAS for FS9.

cockpit, virtual, tower and spot views. I don't find the tower view
very useful. I'd like to program specific views in lieu of cycling to
them. Are there discrete...

Virtual copilot by
Scet
Don't know if it's been mentioned before but if you change the virtual
copilot line in the FS2004.CFG file to =1 you recieve flying tips. ie power
up with out releasing brakes and he lets you know how, stuff like that. May
come in handy for some new players.

Buffet modeling in FS2004 by
Joseph Brown
It has been suggested over the years, for the sake of realism, that
Microsoft should also model Interior Turbulence in the virtual cockpit of
FS2004. This never happened.
As many suggested, the virtual cockpit should not stay perfectly still all
the time, it should shake and jerk around just a...
