Open Letter to Kofi Annan and George Walker Bush by
Matt Wiser
Ramsey Clark? Saddam's most persistent apologist-anything he writes/says is
heavily suspect. He even offered to defend the Butcher of Baghdad at his
upcoming trial. Mr. Clark would be advised to collect his fee in advance.
And get ready to defend himself on charges of aid and comfort to the...

WWII 20mm cannon in planes by
zxcv
It seems to me that the Germans and Japanese had a lot more cannon in their
planes than the Americans who seemed to rely almost totally on .50 machine
guns.
Why was that? What was the rate of fire or the 20mm cannons and what type
of projectiles did they fire?

About when did a US/CCCP war become suicidal? by
james_anatidae
I was wondering at about what point that the United States going to war with
the Soviet Union become an almost certain act of mutual destruction. I'm
assuming it sometime in 1960's or 70's, since what I've seen of the Soviet
nuclear capability before that point doesn't seem to be all...

Russia Threatens to Strike Terror Bases by
Dav1936531
This article seems to indicate that the US State Dept. is pressing a policy of
negotiations with the Chechnyan rebels. Ummmm...calling Colin Powell: Get a
clue!! There is no reason to negotiate with the murderers of school children.
I'm with Putin. Fire up the bombers and wipe the criminals...

P-51 question. by
Mortimer Schnerd, RN
JStONGE123 wrote:
Why was the P-51 not used on aircraft carriers during WWII? Beside
the obvious no tail hook.....ect.
No tail hook. No extra heavy duty landing gear for carrier "landings". No
folding wing. No need.... the F6F was quite capable in its place.

Cobalt by
Dan Welch
Hello,
from reading in the threads relating to nuclear war in the '80s, they
mention "cobalt weapons". Can anyone explain what these are? I very vaguely
remember a mention to them a book once but have no real idea.
cheers
