Death of the newsgroup. by
gorgon
I am pulling the plug on this newsgroup. It is now officially dead in
my opinion. RIP Bob Hoover..may you not turn over in your grave. With
the last infiltration post ..rant. or whatever you call it, I am done
with this group. There hasn't been a decent topic thread in months.
Maybe it is time. ...

radio noise by
et
I have a radio question. Glasair 1TD with Icom radio, older headset.
When the engine is running and charging 14.5 volts the radio howls
when I transmit. Engine off, battery voltage, no noise. If I put
a small screwdriver in the small hole in the headset and turn it down
1/2 turn, no noise. ...

Anyone know in what court Rutan was sued concerning a passenger killed in one

Fuel Gauge reading Empty. by
brian whatcott
I checked out a fuel tank transmitter the other day.
Under an inspection panel, a single screw terminal connects a wire to
the guage from a rheostat hooked to a float. I clipped a test lead on
the transmitter terminal, and grounded the other end. The gauge read
FULL (as it should)
So the...

TSA procedures = More light aviation customers? by
David E. Powell
I am wondering if more people will get into light planes? Purchase at
entry levels, rentals, maybe "Net Jet" or "eCar" type rental clubs for
light planes and light twins? People who can avoid the controversial
new stuff - not to mention the radiation of the scanners and the whole
time delay - might...

'A' or 'B' circuit generator? by
[email protected]
This is so embarrassing, I must just be getting old; I can't remember
if the generator in my '61 C-172 is an A or B circuit. Worse, I
forget which one is which. Does the 'A' supply controlled voltage
to the field and the 'B' does a controlled "ground out" of
voltage coming from the field or do I...
