Pitts questions by
Wendy
Hi-
I've a few questions concerning S1 types. The -C I know has an AEIO-320,
with ailerons on the lower wing. The -S, I believe, has an AEIO-360 along
with four ailerons. Must it also have a constant speed prop to be a true
S1S? And how does the -S differ from the -T? Lastly, can anyone...

Solar Powered Hour Meter by
wayne
I am thinking about importing some little meters as I think they would be
very valuable to the aviation community as a whole. I am trying to gain a
little insight, before I make a large purchase of these meters, whether
you guys and gals see a benefit and would be interested in purchasing one
for...

Pitts S-1 weight and balance by
wallyairplanefan
I have an older Pitts S-1 project I an trying to finish. It has
Sparcraft 4 aileron wings. The old plans I have do not show the CG
range. Does anyone flying a Pitts like this know what the CG range
should be?
Thanks!

Descent at Minimum Safe Airspeed by
w3n-a
http://w3n-a.blogspot.com/2008/11/descent-at-minimum-safe-airspeed.html
Too fast a glide during the approach for landing invariably results in
floating over the ground for varying distances, or even overshooting,
while too slow a glide causes undershooting, flat approaches, and hard
touchdowns. A...

Secondary Stall by
w3n-a
http://w3n-a.blogspot.com/2008/12/secondary-stall.html
This stall is called a secondary stall since it may occur after a
recovery from a preceding stall. It is caused by attempting to hasten
the completion of a stall recovery before the airplane has regained
sufficient flying speed. When this...

Pitts Screw Question by
VTflyer
I was planning on purchasing the Aircraft Spruce S2A hardware kit for an
S1C. I wanted to check and see if the sheet metal on the S2A is held
together with 10-32 screws as it is on my aircraft, a quick yes or no would
be all I need.
Thanks!

Aerobatic Competitions by
Volitan
Is there a list of the big (and small?) aerobatics competitions in the US? Google only shows ones from overseas or the bigtime IAC ones.

How long are our re packs good for? by
Viperdoc[_6_]
I saw in either Flying or AOPA Pilot that the FAA has passed the request so
that our chute packs are now good for 180 and not 120 days.
When does it take effect? Is my pack that just expired actually still good?
TIA

[email protected]
There is a new aerobatic forum that just went online at:
http://beasafepilot.com/smf/index.php
While you are there checkout the videos on the main site at:
http://beasafepilot.com/videos.htm
There are really nice in-cockpit shots of many different maneuvers.
