Why are so few gyrocopters developed? by Joachim Colling
To me the gyrocopter principle seems to be much cheaper (and safer?) than the heliocopter. Why has development of medium and larger size gyrocopters stopped? And smaller are also very few? Joachim Colling www.collings-system.se

Auto. engine >> vertical shaft power output by [email protected]
Anybody know of a bolt on device to get a vertical shaft output from a 100+ HP auto. engine? No transmission. Current options: 1. A RWD car with IRS. Turn IRS 90 degrees and block one IRS output shaft from turning. Problem: Transmission weight and "crude" design. 2. Shaft drive motorcycle - turn...

OH-58D by Jim Burt
The thread called "Is MDHI going to make it?" drifted into a comparison of the MD 500 and OH-58D aircraft. What follows is a discussion of the latter: All the US Army OH-58Ds were rebuilt (OK, very, very extensively rebuilt and modified) OH-58As. The rebuild process took the aircraft down to...

Did my aptitude tests and exams the other day. by Simon Robbins
I did my aptitude tests and exams at my local flying college the other day, a pre-requisite along with an interview before they allow you to join any of their courses. Scored 85% in maths, 77% in physics (I'd long forgotten some of the theorems and equations that would've been helpful) and I got...

JAG Helicopter Video, Rinke Aerospace, Spy Photos, JAG Helicopter, Helicopter, Black Ops by Dennis Chitwood
I Have Just seen the JAG video and it is real! I hope Joe will forgive me for posting negative comments that were not based on factual information. How to purchase helicopter wreckage? by [email protected]
A few weeks ago a helicopter crashed out at my local airport. Nobody will talk to me about how I would go about attempting to buy the wreckage. I know that it has to sit until the NTSB gets through with it, but what happens then. It belonged to a flight school and was destroyed when an...
