RAC grip (Formerly MAC) by
Ed Wischmeyer
Has anyone got an appreciation of the RAC (formerly Menzimer Aircraft
Corporation) stick grips? I am particularely interested in the multiple
switch model.
Don't know which one that is, but there's a lot of very bad human
factors that goes into stick grips with lots of switches.

Rounded elevator counterbalance leading edges by
Ed Wischmeyer
Anybody know of a reference on this on the web, or (gasp) even in print?
I know that there are some supposed advantages to this, as opposed to
having a squared off leading edge which fairs in perfectly when the
elevator is perfectly aligned with the stabilizer.
thanks

Alodyning skins and large sheets by
Ed Wischmeyer
Anybody have any favorite techniques for doing big pieces? I've not been
able to find any alodyne tanks locally, and I've only got a gallon each
of aluminum cleaner (phosphoric acid) and alodyne. The option is to use
a self-etching primer on the inside.

Alodyne results by
Ed Wischmeyer
To alodyne the two rudder skins and the vertical fin skin on the RV-10,
I used the bottom part of the tail kit shipping box as a "swimming
pool," lined with 4 mil plastic. The sheet I bought was 25' x 10', so
there was enough to line the box twice, fortuitously. I had on hand one
gallon each etch...

zoche diesel status and specs? by
Ed Wischmeyer
does anyone know what is the status of the zoche radial diesel?
are any flying yet?
Don't believe it has ever flown, and I doubt that it will anytime soon.
Sure would love to have one on the front of my airplane, though.

How to build a killer drone to hunt Jihadists? by
Ed Zagmoon
The raghead jihadists are a real threat.Period!
I want to help fighting them by building flying
killer drones. You know, there *could* be Jihadist
training camps somewhere in the woods around
you. Or in the desert. On a mountain. Everywhere.
We must all help in this War on Terror.
So, how can I...

Basic Facts A while back, I was browsing these newsgroups, just like you

For a school project, I'm building a robot, wich must be able to

the internet, describing how to use the sonar. The only problem is,
that the...

"Culex" Twin by
eg
Hi NG,
in an old publication I found a design that appeared worthwhile looking at.
Its name is "Culex", it is a all-wooden, fixed gear, tandem seat light twin
using (back then) Limbach engines. The information about had been published
by the "original" Fisher Flying Products.
Since then, Fisher...

When Good Cylinders Go Bad (Pic Posted to alt.binaries.pictures.aviation) by
El Roto
Go on over to see a cylinder head and piston off of a P&W 1830 after the
exhaust valve broke off part way up the valve stem (that's what made the big
hole through the piston). The a/c landed safely and no one was hurt - I
can't say more than that per the request of the a/c owner.
The exhaust...
