I couldn't figure out how to install "S" seals in my PIK20D because the
ailerons slide sideways into place and the space was very small. I had
top mylar seals. I added bottom mylar seals and that lowered thermally
speeds by 3 kts. Improved climb as well.

Dear All,
What is the opinion about using Parachute silk, as material for
Internal "S" sealing ? I have an old parachute, think its material
would be ideal for the aileron sealing of a PIK-20D.
Any comment, god or bad idea ?
My ASH 26 has a "Teflon sealing/slip adhesive tape", made by 3M. I
suggest you consider that, as it is impermeable and easy to apply (I'm
told).
