I couldn't figure out how to install "S" seals in my PIK20D because the
ailerons slide sideways into place and the space was very small. I had top mylar seals. I added bottom mylar seals and that lowered thermally speeds by 3 kts. Improved climb as well. Eric Greenwell wrote: wrote: Dear All, What is the opinion about using Parachute silk, as material for Internal "S" sealing ? I have an old parachute, think its material would be ideal for the aileron sealing of a PIK-20D. Any comment, god or bad idea ? My ASH 26 has a "Teflon sealing/slip adhesive tape", made by 3M. I suggest you consider that, as it is impermeable and easy to apply (I'm told). -- Change "netto" to "net" to email me directly Eric Greenwell Washington State USA -- Best Regards, Chuck Lohre, Lohre & Associates, Inc., Marketing Engineering 2330 Victory Parkway, Suite 701, Cincinnati, OH 45206 Toll Free: 877-608-1736, 513-961-1174, Cell: 513-260-9025 Fax: 513-961-1192, E-mail: Marketing Handbook: http://www.lohre.com/extra/index.html |
