In the LAK-17a they use a push-pull handle which slides in an "L" shaped
slot in a metal plate. The tail tank (wings use the same setup with a
separate lever) is held closed by placing the lever in the short slot,
opened by pulling into the long slot and then aft.

In my 20C the stock valve acuators were small over center levers. I just
made a hook to go over one of them to operate the tail valve cable.
Unhooked to separate fuctions if needed.
