Default Flight Planning to Las vegas from Bay area

Hello all,
I was just wondering which route most pilots took from the bay area to Las
Vegas. I had looked at the sectional and wondered if the Mammoth pass
(Friant VOR 023 radial to Mammoth) had been attempted, and how safe it
was... Just looking for a route any suggestions would be great! I would be
flying a Pa28-180, No O2... Thank you in advance

Troy
