Why do you need a transponder?
If you file the appropriate flight plan and land to clear US Customs, I don't understand why you would need one. I fly a 1945 Aeronca Champ with no electical system, is there some new rule that mandates a transponder for transborder operation? Victor wrote: On a trip to Mexico my transponder failed. Fill up your plane with cocaine and your chances of being stopped or
detected should go way down. They're too busy chasing all the law abiding people. -- Roger Long "Victor" wrote in message om... On a trip to Mexico my transponder failed. How can I cross back into the US with a failed transponder. |

Remember the old joke ?
How would terrorists smuggle a nuke into the US? Easy, they would just hide it in a cargo of cocaine. (Not so funny anymore but all more true.) -- Roger Long "Joe Johnson" wrote in message om...
