That's what believeing in a virgin birth will get you.

"Mom, dad, I swear I'm a virgin"

There's a tribe somewhere, I think it's in the so. pacific, who
doesn't know the facts of life. At least they didn't about thirty
years ago when @I heard of this first. They believe that once a couple
is married, they have babies, period. The sex thing doens't cause it
at all. As evidence, they point ouf that they have a number of albino
women that it is forbidden to have sex with, punishable by death.
These women have babies and noone would be crazy enough to sleep with
them, right? The other bit of evidence they have is that women almost
never get pregrant before they are married even though pre-marital
sex is commonplace. That one's a bit harder to explain...

I wish I could remember who they were or where they were. i can't
seem to find anything about them on the net..

This mayt help:

Adolescence in Pacific Island Societies, edited by Gilbert Herdt and
Stephen C Leavitt. ASAO Monograph 16. Pittsburgh: University of
Pittsburgh Press, 1998. ISBN cloth, 0-8229-4068-X; paper, 0-8229-
5672-1; xii + 239 pages, notes, bibliography, index. Cloth, US$50.00;
paper, US$22.95.

I'm not ****ing buying that!

Mrs. Bunyip may wonder what you are up to when/if it replaces your

Ahh, I'm not al that interested. I'm not even sure if I learned it in a
psych course or a religion course. Interesting notion, though. That book
would almost certainly hold some info on "cargo cults" though, which
were pretty amazing. Actually, I think there may be a few surviving.
Look them up, they're not unlike low tech teleshopping.

Mebbe. I've been looking but can't find it. I learned it from what i'd
consider a pretty reliable source, though. The Cargo Cults are real
though. Almost as interesting...

Mrs. Bunyip may wonder what you are up to when/if it replaces your
usual bedside reading...

What makes you so sure that Bertie isn't the misses? After all,
Bertie is short for Roberta. This would explain a lot.

Nah, if Bertie were really a Roberta I would eat my hat. The only
thing that really puzzles me about BB is why he crossposts to the
homes of the loons. He really doesn't need them piling in to make his
fun does he?

I don't crosspost to the homes ofthe loons. AUK and aavfff are anything
but the homes of the loons.

If you say so, but why crosspost there -is it to impress them with
your hunting/trapping skills? No criticism intended, I'm just
intrigued.
