Cirrus for Cops raffle.... anyone know if this is legit?

The ticket coasts would not be tax decductible - and in the remote
chance you won, you'd get to pay federal & state tax on your winnings
(possibly based on list price?). What's left you would get to put down
on a house......

I wonder what fraction of the US aircraft are sold as raffle or
sweepstakes winners. Somehow, I consider that a real indictment of the
value of aircraft.

A friend said "lotteries are a tax extracted from those that don't
understand or refuse to recognize the laws of probability"
