Nowhere do the FARs or FAA publications discuss "pilot licenses" and therefore that phraseology is incorrect. Not that I really care one way or the other, except insofar as there is an appropriate FAA terminology for the concept, and "license" is not it. Shall we drop it and agree on "ticket?" |
