Hi John
That's a good first step, but the SSA (and other organizations) should urge the FAA to make a similar extension/exceptions to expiring flight instructor certificates, expiring BFRs, and expiring (non glider rated) tow pilot re-currency (FAR 61.69(a)(6)). All of those are difficult or impossible to accomplish now.
