Tried a 'goggle' search but couldn't find the answer. maybe one of you 'puter
guys can.

Did FDR have a 'normal' inauguration in January, 1945?

No! That was the innauguration never held because FDR was too sick ad in fact
died shortly after.

You were a Commander and a Pilot and I was only a Chief and former plane fixer.
I would expect you to know this better than me.
I hadn't even been born when FDR died but I know it.

Back in the days before either of us a pilot did not need guys like me to keep
flying. They did it themselves.

With todays technology an aviator needs a lot of people on the ground just to
have a chance to get into the Wild Blue.

I enjoyed every minute and was truly honored to have been able to have served
with so many fine people who truly appreciated what I did. Not one time in the
22+ years I worked on Naval Aircraft and signed paperwork did an aircraft fail
to return safely home.

Now I set up pool tables. No one does it better.
