Anyone have experience with installing the oversize roller service kit for Cessna's from McFarlane? Our tracks have a little ways to go before the .6035 wear limit but the wear is not even. We are getting some skin wear between the flaps and wing. Would these rollers be a viable alternative to new flap tracks, at least for a couple years? I had these parts installed early this year while having my Skylane painted. No new tracks were needed, just the rollers and related parts (can't remember exactly what the kit included... some washers, perhaps bushings?) The tracks were within the spec set forth in the applicable SB, and the mechanic was able to smooth out the uneven wear with emery cloth. I've also purchased a vernier mixture control cable from McFarlane, very good quality and very friendly folks. -jav |
