Bob DeBorde (RMD) had the patience of a german elf answering all of
my questions before I finally bought the kits for my Skylane.
They work great, and they are super bright. Very pleased with the product
and the service.

It's not STC'ed for a 235, because of the tip tanks.

You can't. These particular ones are mounted in the fiberglass wingtips.
The wingtips on 235s are fuel tanks.

Fine. Replace the cowl mounted light(s) with the HID lights. They
are the same form factor (PA36). This is what I did on my Skylane,
with a field approval, mounted the RMD HID lights in place of the
factory ones on the cowl.
